My Local Government client requires a Project Manager with procurement experience, ideally within the public sector. You will be Prince II Certified and will manage a procurement process, to secure a private sector provider to deliver a broadband plan,

The contact will be for an initial period of 12 months and will focus on the management of the Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) procurement process to ensure that the business and its partners secure best value for money through the procurement process and that the desired outcomes of the Joint Broadband Plan and Local Broadband Plan will be delivered.

The post holder will be responsible for managing a procurement process (approximately £3.6 million) utilising the BDUK procurement process to contract with a private sector provider to deliver broadband infrastructure throughout Central Bedfordshire. This will involve leading an internal project group (including representation from procurement, legal, ICT, economic development, communications, planning, and highways inputs) and an external partnership group
